poetry and plants

Storytelling is a surefire way to capture people’s hearts and imagination. It’s exactly what we do when we work with the National Trust event and exhibitions team at Sissinghurst Castle in Kent.
We take a range of fascinating subjects and content themes, then we bring them to life with innovative designs that appeal to both home and international visitors.

Working inside historic buildings with valuable exhibits can prove logistically challenging.
We always overcome this with a little sideways thinking: it’s a speciality of ours.

ousting the old oast

Working with the National Trust is always interesting and always challenging.

Our latest project for Sissinghurst Castle was even more so. We were asked to redesign the interior of an old Oast house and turn it into a visitor centre.

Working closely with the team at Sissinghurst we created solutions to all the problems that working in a 200 year old protected building threw at us. Limited places for fixings, a damp environment and an ancient hop press that had to be incorporated among others.

We and the National Trust team are really pleased with the results and, word has it, the visitors love it too.

oh and…

we even learnt all there is to know about Dragonflies for an adventure trail map for the younger visitors.

making history

The team at Cheeky have been great to work with – always coming up with creative solutions for everything we have asked them to do. The exhibitions they have created have covered everything from LGBTQ issues, historic garden design and an Elizabethan tower restoration.

They have always used imaginative ways to get round the limitations of working in listed, historic and fragile rooms and buildings. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.
